Understanding the Code of Virginia
We are very excited to offer a new class on the Code of Virginia this year. The class and text describe and provide important information on the relevant sections of the Constitution of Virginia and statutes of sections 15.2, 46.2 and 58.1 of the Code of Virginia. The text will include not only the statutes but supporting court cases, attorney general opinions and when appropriate tax commissioner rulings. In addition, the text has an appendix that is a valuable research and resource tool.
The course format is a two (2) day offering finishing with an exam after lunch on Day 2. Instruction begins at 9:00 am each day, unless the instructor requests otherwise. Lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided each day. Registration begins at 8:30 on Day 1. Any questions about course registration or content should be directed to Scott Harris, tsharris@hanovercounty.gov, or to Amy Johnson, awjohnson@hanovercounty.gov.
