Personal Property (II) Advanced is a course intended to provide detailed instruction on the taxation of personal property in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The course provides specific information related to statutory authority, assessment methodologies, and classification of personal property; Personal Property Tax Relief, value adjustments and the formal appeals process. In addition, the course requires participants to perform class exercises involving classification of property and assessment of value. Personal Property (I) Basic is not a prerequisite to this course; however, the CDP committee recommends that students have a working knowledge of the basics of personal property taxation before enrolling in this course.

This is an online class. Each class will divided into 4 sessions.
