We are looking forward to welcoming everyone at the opening event on Sunday evening: Opening Gala on the USS Revenue! Come dressed to set sail in the Titanic era and enjoy dinner with music by conference favorite band – Tidewater Drive.

Some other highlights from the conference activities include:

• An exciting early arrival event, Norfolk Tides Baseball Game, on Saturday evening – sponsored by MCCi
  • There is an additional fee of $25.oo to attend this event. The fee includes transportation to the ballpark, dinner buffet and game admission.
• Golf Tournament on Sunday at the Sleepy Hole Golf Club – sponsored by TACS & Monte Mays

  • There is an additional fee, separate from the conference fee, of $75 to play.
• Dinner Cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk on Monday evening – sponsored by Avenity
• President’s Reception, Banquet and Installation of Officers at the Renaissance Hotel on Tuesday evening
• Breakfast with the Offices on Wednesday morning – sponsored by the Portsmouth Commissioner of the Revenue
• Hospitality Suite every evening

LODGING:

• The room block at the Renaissance is full. There are no more rooms available at the hotel.
• The best alternate option is to stay in Norfolk and ride the ferry between Portsmouth & Norfolk. The hotel has advised us that the ferry is a much quicker and easier option than driving. There is a Sheraton, Marriott Waterside and Hilton Main. The Sheraton is closest to the ferry pier.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The conference registration fee is $500 per attendee. A reduced fee registration is available to spouses and/or retirees for $400. PLEASE NOTE: The spouse/retiree fee is not available to CORs or staff currently employed in a locality.

• The conference gift this year is a long sleeve t-shirt. You will select your desired size during registration. Here is a sizing guide for the shirts.
• For anyone who has dietary needs – the committee will follow up with anyone who selects one of the options listed on the registration page. We are not able to guarantee accommodations for all dietary needs.

Registration fees can be paid by credit card through the PayPal link or by check. Checks should be made payable to the Commissioner of the Revenue Association of Virginia and mailed to either Scott Harris or Amy Johnson at PO Box 129, Hanover, VA, 23069.

If you need to pay for a portion of the fee separately, such as you are paying for the conference fee with county funds and for the early arrival event with personal funds, it is not a problem to split the payment between payment types. Multiple payments are allowed. Contact Amy Johnson with any questions about how to accomplish this.
