Some highlights from the conference activities include:

• Axe Throwing at Blue Ridge Axe Throwing and dinner at The Farmhouse on Sunday evening – sponsored by Central District
  • Seating is limited for the event so if you want to attend, be sure to register early.
  • There is an additional fee, separate from the conference fee, of $25 for the event.
• Golf Tournament on Monday afternoon at the Pete Dye River Course – sponsored by Vision

  • There is an additional fee, separate from the conference fee, of $50 to play.
• Opening Reception on Monday evening at The Inn at Virginia Tech – sponsored by Avenity
• Dinner & Casino Night on Tuesday evening – sponsored by PCI & MCCi
• President’s Reception, Banquet and Installation of Officers at The Inn at Virginia Tech – President’s Reception sponsored by JD Power
• Revamped CDP course, formerly Roles & Responsibilities of the Deputy, hosted at the end of the conference – there is a separate registration for the class.

LODGING:

THE INN AT VIRGINIA TECH: Room rates are $133.00 for single occupancy, $153.00 for double occupancy with $10.00 per night for each additional person. Click here to reserve a room online. All rooms must be reserved by August 12, 2022.

• Check in time is 4:00 pm. Check out time is 11:00 am.
• If you need to change the check in/check out dates on the hotel booking site, click in the check in date – select the check in date required – and then select the check out date required – and then click on SEARCH. You do not have to click on the check in date box and the check out date box separately.

HYATT PLACE BLACKBURG/UNIVERSITY: An overflow room block is available at the Hyatt Place, 650 University City Boulevard, Blacksburg, Virginia, 24060 – which is across the street from The Inn at Virginia Tech. Room rates are $123.00 for single/double occupancy. Click here to reserve a room online – when you see the page, it will not look like it is specific to the conference; however, once you click the BOOK NOW link, you will see the conference code applied. You can also call the Hyatt Reservation Line, 1-800-233-134 and request the Group Rate Code G-CORA. All rooms must be reserved by August 13, 2022.

• Check in time is 3:00 pm. Check out time is 12:00 pm.

REGISTRATION FEE:

The conference registration fee is $425 per attendee. A reduced fee registration is available to spouses and/or retirees for $300. Registration fees can be paid by credit card through the PayPal link or by check. Checks should be made payable to the Commissioner of the Revenue Association of Virginia and mailed to either Scott Harris or Amy Johnson at PO Box 129, Hanover, VA, 23069.

If you need to pay for a portion of the fee separately, such as you are paying for the conference fee with county funds and for the early arrival event with personal funds, it is not a problem to split the payment between payment types. Multiple payments are allowed. Contact Amy Johnson with any questions about how to accomplish this.
